FAQs

What are the service times? Do I have to RSVP?
We will have one service at 10 a.m.! No RSVP’s or registering! Just show up!

What if it rains?
Queue: Rain Plan! On Saturday afternoons, we will assess the weather for Sunday morning. If it appears we will be rained out or it will be too hot, we will get the word out to the congregation via email and social media. (Make sure that you are getting our emails by filling out this quick form)

Read about our rain plan here.

I’m confused. Weren’t we headed back into the building starting July 5?
On Sunday, June 28 we had our Worship on the Lawn service to kick off the return of in-person services. We were thrilled with the tremendous success of that outdoor service! So the next day, Pastor Mark and our staff decided to scrap our in-building/RSVP plan for services and instead head outside all summer!

What should I bring?
If you plan to sit on the lawn, bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. Also remember it may get warm, so bring water bottles, sunscreen, umbrella, or whatever you think you may need!

Do I need to wear a mask?
According to State of Ohio recommendations, masks need not be worn outside if a distance of six or more feet can be safely maintained among those who are not members of your household or if you have a medical condition prohibiting you from wearing one. As always, thanks for being considerate of the safety of those around you!

Is there Children’s Ministry?
We’ve structured this service to be family-friendly, so there will not be a separate children’s or students’ offering on Sunday mornings. Look for children’s small activity bags handed out to keep them busy during the sermon. Need to walk around with your child? No problem. We are truly family-friendly, so take them for a walk or let them cool off under the over-hang if they need it!

Seating/Parking

Please start arriving 20 minutes early so we can get you carefully and safely seated. If you wish to remain in your vehicle during the service, turn on your flashers when you enter our driveway, and a parking lot attendant will direct you to a drive-in parking spot. Everyone else who wishes to sit on our lawn with a blanket/lawn chairs, please park in the parking lot as usual. Then, follow the signage and staff to your spot on the lawn.

Online Service

Some of you will wish to remain at home during this season. We understand! We will continue to offer our online services throughout this season for you to enjoy each Sunday from the safety of your home. Parents, our Aurora Kids ministry team has worked especially hard to offer you quality weekly Christian education that you can teach from home! We call this our Family Worship, and it can be found by clicking the link below. This is a password-protected site, so email Mindy for the password. Also, don’t forget to email Mindy each week to reserve a free curriculum bag that pairs with our Sunday Family Worship. Inside each of these curriculum bags are the crafts, consumables (coloring sheets, etc.), and activities that help teach our Sunday’s Bible lesson.
