When do our in-building services resume?
Sunday, October 4!
What are the service times? Do I have to RSVP?
We will resume our two service times: 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. No RSVP’s or registering! Just show up!
Will there be Children’s Ministry?
Children’s Ministry will initially only be available at our 11:00 a.m. service. Children age 1 year old through Grade 5 are welcome to participate in our Children’s Ministry. Later this season, we hope to open up our Children’s Ministry to a full nursery caring for infants as well. More information to come concerning our nursery.
To ensure the health and safety of everyone, masks are required, and simple wrist temperatures will be taken at the door. Masks are required for kindergarteners and older. Very young children in preschool or below do not need to wear a mask. As always, thanks for being considerate of the safety of those around you!
Our service length is slightly shortened to allow thorough cleaning of the Worship Center between gatherings.
Do I need to bring a chair like our rain plan for the summer?
Our rain plan for our summer family worship on the lawn included bringing the “outside inside!” We did this by encouraging everyone to bring their lawn chairs inside for service. We do not need you to bring your chairs for services beginning in October. We have safely spaced out our seating to help encourage social-distancing. We also have a team to sanitize our chairs between services.
Is there Edge AM?
Initially, we will not be offering our Edge AM gathering on Sunday mornings. We hope that Edge AM will resume soon. Is your middle school student attending Edge on Wednesday evenings? Check out the details here.
When will live-stream be available?
Currently, we are prerecording our online service earlier in the week and making it available on the weekends. We will continue to do this, but we are excited to announce that in mid to late October, we will have live-stream capability! What this means for you. On Sunday mornings, you will have the opportunity to tune in to our 9:30 or 11 a.m. service in real-time. This is exciting because we believe this will help bridge the two worship venues (in-person and online) uniting our church family wherever we are! Watch for more information coming soon concerning live-stream.
Although it will not be available right away, we are currently planning for an overflow room. This room will allow us more space to social-distance in case we have a full crowd on any specific Sunday. This room will be in The Middle (Room 102) and will live-stream our service from the Worship Center. We hope to launch this room soon after we get rolling with live-stream!
Online Service and Family Worship
Some of you will wish to remain at home during this season. We understand! We will continue to offer our online service for you to enjoy each Sunday from the safety of your home. Parents, our Aurora Kids ministry team has worked especially hard to offer you quality weekly Christian education that you can teach from home! We call this our Family Worship, and it can be found by clicking the link below. This is a password-protected site, so email Mindy for the password. Also, don’t forget to email Mindy each week to reserve a free curriculum bag that pairs with our Sunday Family Worship. Inside each of these curriculum bags are the crafts, consumables (coloring sheets, etc.), and activities that help teach our Sunday’s Bible lesson.
We are very active on social media these days. It is the platform we use to get you the most up-to-date information on events, cancellations, and announcements. Have a child younger than 5th grade? You’ll want to follow our Aurora Kids ministry. Do you have a student in middle school or high school? Check out our Edge and Porch Instagram accounts! So many accounts to follow, click, and hit “follow!”
