- This event has passed.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me!

What is the Thanksgiving Baskets Initiative?
Each year in November, we hand out baskets to our community to fill and give away. The baskets are full of all the items needed to create a Thanksgiving meal for a family. Our team organizes the names of local families-in-need and distributes the baskets. There are many, many families in the greater-Aurora area that are struggling. Our Thanksgiving Baskets help food pantries and families in Aurora Bainbridge, Chagrin Falls, Mantua, Hiram, Ravenna, Streetsboro, and Twinsburg. This year’s need is overwhelming. 2020 has created a much greater need for baskets than we have had in the past.
How to Participate: Fill or Sponsor a Basket then SPREAD THE WORD!
Fill a Basket: On Sundays, Nov. 8 and 15, you can grab a basket from our Atrium during worship services. Take it home and fill it with all the suggested items (included with the baskets is a list of these items). You can also pick up a basket during our church office hours (M-Th, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.). Just stop by our front office. All baskets must be returned to church on Sunday, Nov. 22 during worship times (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.).
Sponsor a Basket: New this year is the opportunity to sponsor a bin instead of physically taking a basket and filling it yourself. You can sponsor a half basket for $30 or a full basket for $60. Click on the link below to sponsor a basket.
Share: This year we are asking you to not just claim a basket but also ask your friends/family to participate as well! We must get the word out to our community in order to have enough Thanksgiving baskets. Below are links to share on Facebook, Instagram, or by hand with a printable flyer. Please help us spread the word!
